Privacy Policy for Repertoirely

Repertoirely
Blue Skua LLC
Effective Date: April 6, 2026
Last Updated: April 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Blue Skua LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Repertoirely mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App on iOS and Android devices.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. About the App

Repertoirely is a music practice companion that helps musicians track their song repertoire, log practice sessions, and create calendar reminders to stay consistent with practicing. The App is designed to keep your musical data private and primarily stored on your device.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Information

To use Repertoirely, you must create an account. We collect and store the following information on our servers:

  • Email address — used to identify your account and send you essential service communications.
  • Hashed password — if you register with an email and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
  • Authentication tokens — issued by third-party identity providers when you sign in with Apple or Google.

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, location, or any other personal information beyond what is required for authentication.

If you choose to make a purchase on repertoirely.com for the Windows version or cross-platform access, payment information may be collected and processed by Stripe on our behalf. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. We may receive limited purchase-related information such as your email address, transaction status, plan type, and a payment or order identifier needed to activate and maintain your purchase entitlement.

3.2 Sign-In Methods

You may create and access your account using:

  • Email and password — managed directly by us.
  • Sign in with Apple — we receive an anonymized identifier and, optionally, your email address from Apple.
  • Sign in with Google — we receive your Google account email address and a unique identifier from Google.

When you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, their respective privacy policies also apply. We encourage you to review:

3.3 App Data (Stored Locally on Your Device)

All of your repertoire data, including songs, practice sessions, tags, notes, and settings, is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3.4 Anonymous Usage and Diagnostic Data

We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data to improve the App. This data:

  • Cannot be linked back to you or your account in any way.
  • May include crash reports, error logs, screen navigation events, and feature usage statistics.
  • Does not include the content of your songs, practice sessions, or any personal information.
  • Is collected and stored using Firebase (a Google service). You can review Firebase's data practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

This data helps us identify bugs, understand which features are most used, and improve the overall experience for all users.

3.5 Website Purchases via Stripe

Repertoirely may offer purchases directly on repertoirely.com, including for the Windows version. These purchases are processed by Stripe or another authorized payment processor used on the website.

When you make a website purchase, we may use the account credentials or email address associated with the purchase to link the purchase to your Repertoirely account. This allows eligible paid access to be recognized when you sign in with the same credentials on Windows, iPhone, or Android.

4. Cloud Backup (Optional)

Repertoirely offers an optional backup and restore feature that allows you to back up your in-app data to your personal cloud storage. We will request permission before enabling this feature.

  • iCloud (iOS): Your data may be backed up to your personal iCloud account using Apple's iCloud services. This backup is stored in your own iCloud storage, not on our servers.
  • Google Drive (Android): Your data may be backed up to your personal Google Drive account. This backup is stored in your own Google Drive storage, not on our servers.

This feature is entirely optional. You are not required to enable cloud backup to use the App. If you choose to use this feature, the data stored in iCloud or Google Drive is governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies. We do not have access to your iCloud or Google Drive backup data.

5. Calendar Permissions

The App may request access to your device's calendar to create practice reminders. Calendar data is used only to create, update, or delete events you explicitly request. We do not read, store, or transmit any of your existing calendar data.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate your identity and maintain your account.
  • Allow you to log in across devices.
  • Respond to account-related support requests.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent technical issues and errors.
  • Improve App features, performance, and user experience using anonymous analytics.
  • Send you essential service communications, such as password reset emails.

We do not use your information for advertising, sell your data to third parties, or share your personal information with anyone except as described in this policy.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and anonymous analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, such as a court order or subpoena.
  • Protection of Rights: We may disclose information to protect the safety, rights, or property of Blue Skua LLC, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
  • Payment Processing: If you make a purchase on repertoirely.com, Stripe may process payment information and provide us with limited purchase metadata needed to confirm and manage your entitlement.

8. Data Retention

  • Account information is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Anonymous analytics data is retained in accordance with Firebase's data retention policies.
  • Upon account deletion, your account credentials and any server-side data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

9. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the App. Deleting your account will:

  • Permanently remove your login credentials and account information from our servers.
  • Not affect data stored locally on your device. You can uninstall the App to remove it.
  • Not affect any backups you have made to iCloud or Google Drive. You must delete those separately from your cloud storage provider.

If you have trouble deleting your account, contact us at [email protected].

10. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS.
  • Hashing of passwords using secure, one-way algorithms.
  • Access controls limiting who can access user data within our organization.

No method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or 16 in certain jurisdictions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

14. European Economic Area / UK Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA or UK, our legal basis for processing your personal data is:

  • Contract: Processing your account credentials is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate Interests: Anonymous analytics help us maintain and improve the App without disproportionately impacting your privacy.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

If you are in the EEA or UK, nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any mandatory privacy or consumer protections available to you under applicable law.
